French TV shoots Western Cape

A few days ago we quoted from an interview with CEO Calvyn Gillefan of Cape Town Routes Unlimited. Today we had a French TV-crew here (broadcasting in April 2009) and it fits all together. French travellers are in general not tempted by the mainstream attraction; but by real experiences. No wonder that the national TV focusses itself in the Western Cape on 'the real thing'. Not Robben Island or the known vineyards or Kirstenbosch, etc. The French want to discover culture by heart and in the Western Cape outside the Cape Town their researchers only found two items worthwhile to make shootings (we think there are quite a few more ....). These are Sanbona Wild Life Reserve near Montagu and Soekershof; Private Mazes & Botanical Gardens in South Africa.

Herewith a filmshooting impression of the Soekershof part. (each item is broadcasted for 2 minutes). From left to right: Joey teaches presenter a decent handshake; introduction of the gardens by Yvonne and Yvonne showing some precious tiny collectors items.
